Rob and I went to Glendalough in County Wicklow this weekend with the UCC Mountaineering Club. All 25 of us stayed in a hut about an hour from the climbing. Saturday was awful wet, so we hung down in the boulder fields and worked our way up some greasy boulder problems. On Sunday we trekked up to the crag and had a go at a easy line. It was pretty cold up on the rocks in the fog. I realized when we were up there we were climbing with people from Ireland, Britain, France, and Germany. An international shred fest. We ended the day with some bouldering, on the stone which were now dry. The friction on the granite was unreal and subsequently destroyed my hands in less than 40 minutes.
